Rhoads Oration
An Annual Oration has been a part of the scientific transactions of the Philadelphia Academy of Surgery since its inception.
Lectures
The John R. Clarke Lectureship and The Erb Lecture are presented anually by the Philadelphia Academy of Surgery.
Research Competition
The Surgical Trainee Paper Competition of the Philadelphia Academy of Surgery is held annually and include oral and quick shot presentations.
Samuel D. Gross Prize
The Samuel D. Gross Prize is awarded every five years for the best original research in surgery by an American citizen.
